Taasisi ya Mwanamke Asili
The Native Woman Institute
Who is this for?
We’re calling on the American descendants of Africa—the Black American women of today who call the hood home.
To the women who struggle, who yearn for love, acceptance, and a place in the world—this is for you. We are the solution. Together, we will rebuild a new village and embrace our true worth. To the strong, resilient women who feel forgotten: this is for us, all of us.
What is Taasisi ya Mwanamke Asili?
The Taasisi ya Mwanamke Asili is an institution of healing, a declaration of culture, and a lifelong sisterhood. It’s a community where Black women find belonging, strength, and support for personal and collective growth. Rooted in cultural wisdom, The Taasisi guides women in spiritual, emotional, and financial transformation while honoring our shared heritage. Together, we create our own path, freeing ourselves and future generations to live empowered, meaningful lives.
Why do we need this?
Black women have endured generations of abandonment, exploitation, and disconnection from our cultural heritage. Our women are in pain being without true belonging, struggling to build strong families, find joy, and live in peace. We lack the cultural foundations, rites of passage, and ancestral guidance that should anchor us. Now is the time to reclaim the wisdom of our ancestors and create a space where Black women are fully supported, valued, and connected.
We are seeking a select group of Black women to join the first cohort of The Taasisi. We’re looking for women who are on their healing journey but feel they could benefit from additional support, guidance, and a strong sense of community. This opportunity is for those ready to commit to 12 months of growth and sisterhood, with the intention of building lasting, transformative bonds. If you’re ready to take this step and join a lifelong sisterhood, we invite you to apply today. Learn more about what to expect HERE.
